Fruit for the Sparkling Shiraz is sourced predominantly from premium grape growing regions in South Australia; namely McLaren Vale and Padthaway.

Situated approximately 40km south of Adelaide, the capital of South Australia, McLaren Vale has a Mediterranean climate. With winter dominant rainfall, low humidity and long warm summers that are tempered by the proximity to the Gulf of St.Vincent, McLaren Vale has one of the most consistent climates in which to grow premium wine grapes.

The Padthaway wine region, since first vineyards were established in 1964, has a well established reputation for producing premium quality grapes across a wide range of varieties, including Shiraz. Chosen for its rich, diverse soils, underground water supply and Mediterranean climate, this region, located approximately 300km south east of Adelaide, produces elegant Shiraz with balance and finesse.

This Sparkling Shiraz showcases ripe plum and blackberry fruits with subtle oak spice and underlying earthy notes

Palate

The palate has great mid palate richness and fruit weight, dark berry fruits and savoury notes add concentration and depth and are carefully balanced by a fine tannin structure

Harvest

A blend of Shiraz batches aged between 2 and 3 years old, which ensures consistency in style and quality

Winemaking

Each fruit parcel is vinified and matured separately in French oak barriques. Post oak maturation, the base wine is overblended with vibrant and juicy Shiraz that adds great vibrancy, freshness and balance
