A blend of Shiraz batches aged between 3 and 5 years old ensures consistency in style and quality. Each fruit parcel is matured separately in French oak barrels prior to blending with some younger vintage Shiraz which adds lush and juicy fruit characters and freshness to the palate.

Sourced from the premium wine growing region of McLaren Vale, the parcels of fruit used for this wine were fermented on skins to impart colour and build complexity, before being pressed and matured in a combination of older French and American oak barrels.

Sourced from a hand-selected collection of premium vineyards, this wine is voluptuous and plush, becoming wonderfully developed and ever more elegant with some careful cellaring and a little age.

This Sparkling Shiraz showcases ripe plum and blackberry fruits with subtle oak spice and underlying earthy notes. The palate has great mid palate richness and fruit weight, dark berry fruits and savoury notes add concentration and depth and are carefully balanced by a fine tannin structure.

A blend of Shiraz batches aged between 2 and 3 years old ensures consistency in style and quality. Each fruit parcel is vinified and matured separately in French oak barriques. Post oak maturation, the base wine is overblended with vibrant and juicy Shiraz that adds great vibrancy, freshness and balance.

This wine is made from 100% Merlot grapes from the Hollick Coonawarra vineyard. Made by Hollick since 1992, it continues its reputation as a wine for every celebratory occasion.

The 2021 vintage in Coonawarra was high cropping of great quality fruit. Vibrant colour in red wines are a stand out for this vintage.

The fruit for the 2021 Sparkling Merlot was carefully selected ensuring quality. Primary fermentation was conducted onsite in stainless steel. Secondary fermentation was completed in stainless steel pressure vessel and then bottled. This has produced a fine persistent bead, lifting the palate of bright red fruits.

This Sparkling Shiraz is made from grapes sourced from vineyards on Australia’s lauded Limestone Coast and has the aroma of plums and Christmas spice. When it comes to the palate, this wine brings cherries and spice and is juicy with a hint of oak complexity. With all vintages chosen being exceptional vintages, the result is strong varietal characters making them perfect for a NV blend.

You’ll love the gorgeous purple foam which makes it so pretty in the glass and this wine should be served chilled. A real crowd pleaser, this refreshing and not too heavy shiraz is part of a limited quantity of sparkling wines produced in the famous wine region in Wrattonbully, South Australia.

The inaugral release in 2005 gathered some fantastic reviews and the 2017 is set to carry on this tradition with select parcels of old vine fruit harvested specifically for production of the sparkling red wine. And once again, this Sparkling Shiraz is topped off with a crown seal.

Validation of Teusner´s decision to only pick the best Barossa Shiraz vineyards for this sparkling wine. Teusner tends to take it easy with the dosage also….they aim for a savoury, pure fruit driven style without any sugary trickery and cloying finish. With extended time on lees the resulting wine, I’m sure you will agree, this Sparkling Shiraz is delicious drinking and will continue to improve in the cellar over the medium term.
